DAILY DEVOTIONAL    TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 24, 2002
(Exodus 25:2)

Tell the Israelites to bring me an offering. You are to receive the offering for me from each man whose heart prompts him to give.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank each of you for all of your love and support of Liveprayer.com. We are almost done with our 37th of ministry here on the Internet, and despite the incredible challenges over that time, it has been 37 of the most blessed months of my life. I had completed 7 years of full time ministry at the time Liveprayer was started. In that time, I had the wonderful opportunity to preach in over 500 churches of every kind of denomination all over the United States. My ministry was involved heavily in producing programming for Christian TV stations nationwide. It had been a blessed and wonderful 7 years of ministry.

But I could have never imagined the wonderful opportunity the Lord was giving me to share His love and hope with millions worldwide every single day. I never dreamed 15,000 plus would come to the Liveprayer.com website from all over the world every day. I never imagined that over 1,200,000 worldwide would receive the Daily Devotional each day!!! I never thought that I would have to assemble a ministry team to personally respond to over 30,000 incoming emails daily. But above all, I could have never imagined that in the past 37 months, over 20,000 we know of would accept Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, and that we would have an archive of almost 600,000 praise reports of answered prayers for every kind of need imaginable. I can not tell you how richly blessed my life has been these past 37 months!!!

One of the greatest blessings though has been the opportunity to meet wonderful friends like you. It has been an honor to pray for you during those difficult times that we all face in life. I am also more thankful than you will ever know for your prayers for me and this ministry. I promise you, it has been the prayers of friends like you that have sustained me during the many, many dark hours these past 37 months. To some extent, I underestimated the job God had asked me to do. But I relied on two things.

First, my faith in God and that promise in His Word that tells me when I am weak, He is strong. Second, the prayers of God's people. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for praying for me so faithfully. It has sustained me through many difficult hours and given me the encouragement to carry on and do what God has asked me to do here each and every day. We all get down at times, but it is the love and prayers of God's people that helps us over those rough spots in life.

Let me also thank you not only praying for me and this ministry, but for sacrificially giving to sustain our work here. When Paul went on his missionary journeys, it was the prayers AND gifts of God's people that made it possible. It was their gifts that enabled Paul to go elsewhere to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. As much of a visionary as Paul was, I believe that if he was alive today, he would be using the Internet to reach people. He utilized the best tools of his day to spread the Gospel. No doubt that in our day, the Internet is the greatest tool man has ever had to reach into he hearts and lives of people. How else could anyone hope to share the love of Christ each and every day with over 1,200,000 people?

The fact is, we are only scratching the surface of what God can do through Liveprayer.com. We have the network in place to handle millions of people daily on our website. The Daily Devotional should be going to 6 million daily!!! We should be personally responding to over 100,000 email prayer requests daily. It is not a question of whether the need is out there. It is. It is an issue of us being able to properly publicize the FREE services Liveprayer offers to the masses so that they know there is a place to turn in their hour of need. You see, the Gospel is freely received, and freely given. However, the mechanism to share the Gospel has a cost to it today, just as it did in Paul's day.

I am overwhelmed and amazed how God takes so little to do so much. The overall monthly budget of Liveprayer is only $30,000. For ONLY $1,000 a day, we are able to freely provide all the ministry we do to millions of people worldwide. The Bible is very clear that it is God's people who are to support God's work, and, they are to do so as they are led by God. I have always used the biblical example of Moses when he raised the funds to build the Tabernacle, David when he raised the funds to build the Temple Solomon finished, and Paul when he raised money for his missionary journeys. Share the need with the people, and simply ask each one to pray and ask God what He would have them to do.

The bible teaches we are to give according to our ability. It is NOT about the amount you give, but the obedient heart that you give it with. For some, $10, $20, $50 is a sacrifice. For others, it may be $100, $200, $500. Still others, it may be $1,000, $5,000, or $10,000. Again, it is not the amount, but your heart. It is being obedient and doing what God is asking you to do.

***AS WE HEAD INTO THE LAST 6 DAYS OF THIS MONTH, WE STILL NEED TO BRING IN $10,100 TO END THIS MONTH WITH ALL OF OUR OBLIGATIONS MET. DON'T EXPECT SOMEONE ELSE TO DO WHAT GOD HAS ASKED YOU TO DO. PRAY AND GIVE THE BEST GIFT THAT YOU CAN TODAY!!!

Partly due to this being the summer months we just went through when giving is traditionally low, and we still need to raise $10,100 over the next week to meet our monthly budgetary needs this month. Please do me a favor and take a few minutes right now, and ask God what He would have you to do to help us finish the month on target. It is important that we not get behind. Also, remember in prayer our ongoing 3 million fundraising effort. This special fund will be used to expand the outreach of Liveprayer.com to reach more of the lost and hurting people that normally won't go to church, or visit a Christian Internet site. Yet these people are hurting, struggling through life, and looking for answers.

Sadly..there are now network TV shows with psychics saying they can see into the future, talk to the dead, selling people false hope! We have the only real answer, the only real hope, and that is Jesus Christ. That is our next level, reaching out in a bold and aggressive way to the general population through secular radio, televisions, and print ads to let people know there is a place to go when they are hurting.

Again, all I ask is for you to take a few minutes and pray, ask God what He would have you to do to help me, and than be obedient and do it. Please email me at bkeller@liveprayer.com and let me know what you will be able to do to help.

I love you, and care about you very much. Thank you so very much for your kind and thoughtful prayers. Thank you for your sacrificial gifts. I never forget for a second that without you, Liveprayer would not be here. YOU make it possible for me to do what I do every day to minister to so many. Most of all, I am deeply thankful for the fact you are my friend. I really do love and care about you, and you can count on me to be here for you in your hour of need. After all, that is what God asks us to do, bear one another's burdens. Just as you help bear my burdens, I am always here to help you in your time of need. May the Lord richly bless you this day, as we work together for His glory!!!!

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller
