(James 4:15)

Instead, you ought to say, "If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that."

Let God's will be done. For those of you who have been reading my Daily Devotionals for a while know, I do not abuse this privilege by bringing my own personal views into these daily writings, but try to stay focused on what God's Word says in the context of the subject I deal with. I realize politics and war are a very personal, very emotional subject for many. I can assure you that my chief motivation for the series of Devotionals last week in regard to the Middle East, were done with a focus on the spiritual implications of where our nation is at and the challenge it should be to each believer! The burden that God laid on my heart, what the Holy Sprit showed me, was that we are facing great spiritual issues as a nation, and to that extent, need to bombard the throneroom of God with prayer as well as never compromising the absolute truth of HIS Word.

My focus was not as much on the various issues involved, but on the spiritual consequences to our nation as well as the people involved. For anyone that may have read more into this, let me ask your forgiveness, and assure you that I never take for granted this forum that the Lord has blessed me with, and that I prayerfully use it to bring spiritual truth into the lives of those who read these words each day. One thing however that I will NEVER apologize for, is sharing the fact that Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to God. That was GOD'S plan, not mine. My job is to share the truth of God's Word with you each day, and what you choose to do with that truth becomes and issue between you and God.

The great spiritual lesson from the recent events our nation has endured is this. Man has a responsibility to do all that that he can do as the Lord leads him. After having done all possible, it is time to sit back, and let God speak. If you can apply this great spiritual principle to your daily life, you will always be where God wants you to be. We work hard, we pray, and then after doing all we know to do, we leave it to God. The key then becomes accepting what God has to say. It may not always be what we want to hear. That is where spiritual maturity must come into play. We must be willing to say what Jesus said in the Garden. Lord, not my will, but thy will be done. After all, it works when God's will is done. To rebel against His will, and try to force our will on a situation, never works out in the long run. Now it is time for God to answer as events unfold worldwide. Our responsibility now becomes accepting what God says and moving forward, knowing that God's perfect plan will be fulfilled.

One of the great truth's to living this life that I have discovered, is the more we follow the Lord's lead, the better off we are. So often we either get ahead of God, or don't even consider Him in our daily activities. That is very dangerous. It is NOT a place we want to be. My prayer for you today is to apply this spiritual truth to your daily life. Realize that you have a responsibility to do all that you can do, but at some point, must say, "now it is time for God to speak". The problem is we often never take time to hear from the Lord. That is how we can get off-track. As believers, that is exactly what we want. To know we are clearly hearing the voice of God in a situation.

I love you, and care about you. I am praying for you daily.
