My Friend,

As the nation remembers the tragic events of one year ago, I want to thank God for allowing this instrument of HIS called Liveprayer for being there on that day for so many. The TV in my office is always on one of the all news channels, and as the reports of the first plane hitting the World Trade Center came in, I began to watch. Like so many, I literally saw the second plane fly right into the second tower. Without even knowing what was happening, I summoned my technical staff and we sent an emergency email for prayer to the app.. 700,000 subscribers that we had, asking them to forward it to everyone they could. By 9:20am that fateful morning, we were mobilizing a prayer effort that would include over 1 million people. I was never so proud to be serving God as I was on that day!

As the events of the day unfolded, we learned of the plane that flew into the Pentagon, and the one intended to fly into the Capital that several brave passengers helped to bring down before it could accomplish its evil mission. We also found out that at least 10 other planes were intended to fly into highly visible landmarks all over the country but were never able to take off because the FAA grounded all air traffic. I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT GOD STEPPED IN AND SAID "ENOUGH"! I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT THE PRAYERS OF HIS CHILDREN MOVED THE HEART OF GOD AND HE STEPPED IN BEFORE MORE LIVES WERE LOST ON THAT DAY!  AS BAD AS 9/11 WAS, IT COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH WORSE!!!

In the series of Special Devotionals that you will be receiving over the next few days, I go through the events of 9/11, and put them in the context of our faith in Christ. I want to say how grateful I am to God that through those incredible days, we know of over 2,000, just through this one ministry that came to know Christ as their Savior. In the death, destruction, fear, and chaos of those events, GOD WAS STILL WORKING IN THE HEARTS OF PEOPLE! HALLELUJAH!!!!

I love you and care about you so much. We will mourn as a nation over the next few days in remembrance of what happened last year. But for me, it is simply a reminder of the wake-up call that we received from God that day. Time is short. We need to get serious about faith in Jesus Christ in our personal lives, and in sharing that faith with this lost, hurting, and sin-filled world! THAT is what Liveprayer is trying to do each and every day. THAT is why I ask you today to pray for me, and to give as God leads you to give to help me continue to be here each day to share the hope and love of Jesus with the hurting and lost in our world.

We will never forget the events of 9/11, just like those who lived through the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 never forgot that day. The greatest response that we can have during these tragic events is to become more bold, more committed to the work God has for each of us to do in our lives. The Bible clearly tells us that tomorrow is NOT a guarantee for any of us. That means we must not take today for granted, and do the best we can for HIM each and every day. Will you pray for me today? Will you send me the best gift that you can today? TOGETHER, WE CAN CONTINUE TO MAKE AN IMPACT IN MILLIONS OF LIVES EVERY DAY FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD!!!
