(Deuteronomy 15:7)

If there is a poor man among your brothers in any of the towns of the land that the Lord your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward your poor brother.

Sharing the riches that you have. Often when we hear about sharing what we have with the less fortunate, we immediately think of giving them money. While that is a proper application of this scripture, and could be what God has called us to do, I want to look at this in a more spiritual light. While everyone who has confessed Jesus Christ as their personal Savior may not have great monetary wealth, each one who knows Christ has tremendous spiritual wealth. You have the greatest gift that man could possess.... is a personal relationship with your Creator and the promise of everlasting life in Heaven with God. What king of a price can you put on that?

Many of my Devotionals center on our responsibility to witness, to share our faith with others. Let me ask you a question. If you knew that a building where thousands of people worked was going to blow up at noon next Wednesday, what would you do? Of course, you would do everything in your power to make sure everyone knew about this coming catastrophe to insure no one was injured. You would call the press, you would be on the phone telling family and friends, you would possibly mobilize people to stand in front of the building each day to warn those who visited the building of the pending disaster.

If you have accepted Christ as your savior and know that those who accept Him will be in Heaven for eternity and those who reject Him will be cast into a place created for satan and his fallen angels for eternity, would why are you not more aggressive in sharing this incredible news with everyone that you come in contact with?

It is also the case that when we see someone we care about very much hurting, we do everything in our power to help them. How many people out there today are hurting? Going through the pain and heartache of life and looking for answers? Again, as someone who knows Christ as your savior, you know that He is THE answer to the pain and heartache of this world. Why are you not more active in sharing with people that Jesus is the way, the truth, the life... that Jesus is the answer to the problems they may be facing?

I pose these questions today to simply encourage you, motivate you, and focus you on how much you really have. Your age doesn't make any difference. How much material possessions you have don't make you rich. It is the personal relationship with Jesus Christ that makes you rich beyond anything this world could offer or give you. God is telling you today to share that wealth with those who are "poor" and "needy".

There are many ways to do that. A kind act, sharing what Christ has done in your life, being a help to someone who is in need, there are many ways to share your wealth. The key is that today God is bringing you under conviction to take action. Quit sitting on the sidelines and get in the game. Being a Christian is not a spectator sport but one you are required to participate in. God is speaking to you today.

I love you, and care about you, and it is a privilege of mine to pray for you each day. I deeply appreciate all of the prayers and support you have given me these last 7 months that has helped us to launch Liveprayer.Com and in such a short time make it a blessing to literally hundreds of thousands of people each day worldwide. I have a way that you can help those in your area who are hurting and fulfill what God is calling you to do in sharing His love. A one line add in most newspapers is very inexpensive. An ad that simply read: NEED PRAYER? LIVE 24/7. WWW.LIVEPRAYER.COM could be the answer that someone is looking for today. Someone who is hurting, not really knowing where to turn.

That is what we do here each and every day. Give hope and help to the hurting and lost. One incredible way you could reach out and touch people in your community would be by placing a small one-line ad like that in your local paper to let people know there is a place to go, 24/7 to find answers. Pray about this and see if this may be a way for you to help those in your community by pointing them to a place where the spirit of the living God can touch them in their time of need.

I pray today you will open your hear, and realize how rich you are because of God's incredible grace and mercy. Now it is time to share those riches with those who are without the hope we share in Christ!

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller
